I sincerely doubt that the level cap is ever going to rise, as has been stated by ArenaNet many times - but a higher level cap isn't necessary to make future content worthwhile. Think of it this way: Chapter 1 is your training wheels. You get to level 20, you get yourself set up, etc. And then in future content, you no longer need to worry about not being high enough to group up with whoever, the challenge will come from the missions themselves, not the numbers the engine is rolling in the background.
As for new professions.. i'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some, but I have no idea what they are. I can field a few guesses based on overwhelming player demand and popularity, but really.. so long as I get an Assassin and neko mimi out of the expansion, i'm pretty much set for the rest of my natural Guild Wars career. New jobs would mean new job mechanics. Summoner is necro and both chinese guys are warrior. Unless they make a mele high dmg dealer they'd have to get out of the typical jobs and make a new one.

ArenaNet never said they wouldn't raise the level cap. They simply stated that they have no plans for it at the moment. I CAN see it being raised, but not until a few expansions down the line, and then it'd have to be global for all players so people keep in competition.

How about if they add a few more mish after the new ones and let us lvl say 5 levels more in it. If they're not going to add new mish in expansion just what are they doing to do. I hear races might come up but that's just speculation.

I'm sure that the level cap will be raised in the future, but I doubt it will happen for at least another year or so. More classes and Races will come too. As for what to do after you finish all of the missions. Try a different class? Unlock all of the elites, skills, runes, upgrades? Uncover every corner of the map? Become a runner. I help newbs all the time get through some of the tuffer quests. Wait a could more weeks and the first of the 2 new areas hopefully will be up... Pimp the sand drakes... they really can put out good

Raising the "level cap" (a term that shouldn't even be used with GW) is against the entire design theory of this game. I'm sure that ANet devs are much more aware of this fact than many of those who play it.
GW is a game without (WITHOUT) levels. The 20 level system is there to act as a sort of tuturial. There is no cap, therefore there is no need to raise the cap. There's nothing stopping them from raising the "cap" if, after a year or so, people STILL refuse to get the whole point, but it'd be an admission of total concept failure. There's a term for something very similar to this; It's called "techno-shock". This is what happens when a culture is incapable of understanding and adjusting to a new technology. Anyway, I do wish people would begin to catch on to this idea. Right now, it's looking like big publishers are somewhat justified in their refusal to publish games that are genre-breaking, because people really WON'T accept them... |

There are already numerous posts concerning level cap and suggestions for future professions. Please make an effort and do a search for an answer before you add another thread to the thousands here.
